Healthcare Support Worker (Band 3) Private Care Granard House 1 Ward Fixed-Term Contract (1 Year Maternity Cover)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Healthcare Support Worker to join our dedicated team on Private Care Granard House 1 Ward at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a fixed-term position for 12 months to provide maternity cover and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to work within a specialist oncology and surgical ward environment. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient-centred care to individuals undergoing complex cancer treatments and surgical procedures.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assist registered nurses in providing safe, compassionate and effective care, ensuring patients receive the highest standards of support throughout their treatment journey. Previous experience in an acute hospital setting is essential, and experience within oncology, surgical care or cancer services would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a caring and professional attitude, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care in a fast-paced specialist environment.

Main duties of the job
To carry out in a responsible and efficient way, the nursing care for patients which has been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift.
To demonstrate the ability to develop a greater awareness and understanding of the needs of patients with cancer and the different treatment modalities.
As an integral member of the nursing teamwork with team members to ensure the maintenance of an efficient, safe, clean and pleasant environment for all patients.
