Main duties of the job
The Health Care Support Worker is an essential member of the multi-disciplinary team providing high standard of care for patients as well as support and comfort to family members, friends and carers. In addition to Essential Care and Support there will be the opportunity to develop additional skills, including the monitoring and recording of Patient Observations, ECGs and Phlebotomy. Savernake Ward provides 24 hour care, 7 days a week to our patients so the ideal candidate will be able to work a variety of shifts. We are open to conversations around flexible working patterns.

Main Responsibilities
To work within a multi-professional team in an Inpatient setting, providing, support, care, and treatment to individuals, within guidelines and protocols identified for the role.
You will be expected to provide a high level of Essential Care to meet the needs of patients in the Ward. This will include helping to maintain personal hygiene, continence, mobility, nutrition and hydration.
As well as supporting recovery you will promote rehabilitation, encouraging patients to regain and maintain as much independence as possible.
