    NVQ2 in Health & Social Care or related area or equivalent or higher recognised qualification. GCSE or NVQ2 in English and Maths. N.B. It is not anticipated that all new recruits to the role will have NVQ2 qualification but will commence the attainment process within six months of joining and will have a specific time period in which to qualify.

Full Time 37.5 HoursPriory Hospital Suttons Manor has an opportunity for a Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. Priory Hospital Suttons Manor, Stapleford Tawney, offers a wide range of support to people with complex mental health needs. Working in a forensic low secure service for male patients with mental health needs and physical health challenges. Shifts are long days and nights working 4 shifts and 3 shifts over a two week rolling pattern. Working hours include weekends, bank holidays and all festival periods. Site is in a remote area with no public transport links on Sundays so will need to ensure ability to travel to and from work site on all days of the week.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

  • Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks. To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
  • Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
  • Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
  • Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.
  • To undertake keyworking responsibility for individual service users, supporting the individual to plan goals and personal outcomes and ensure that these are comprehensively documented and reviewed. You can find additional information in the attached job description.
