
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant within the Same Day Emergency Care Clinic. This position will be based at the Poole site initially but will move across to the Bournemouth site late 2026/early 2027 once the whole service move has been completed.
The Health Care Assistant (HCA) in the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) clinic plays a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care. The HCA is responsible for assisting with the timely admission, assessment, and treatment of patients, ensuring that they receive the necessary care within the same day.
Applicants are required to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to the provision of high standards of care to patients and the ability to treat all patients, relatives and members of staff with dignity and respect.
Candidates invited to interview will be expected to complete and Maths test at interview unless they are currently employed by the University Hospitals Dorset Trust.
This post is being advertised as a Band 3, however applicants that do not meet the required care certificate competencies will initially be employed as a Band 2. Applicants who hold a care certificate accreditation will start in post at Band 3.
