DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAL PHYSICS
Radiographer / Technologist (PET-CT/ Nuclear Medicine)
Hours: 36 hours per week
The Nuclear Medicine Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary combines a high quality, comprehensive clinical service with a strong academic record and has a distinguished history of service innovation. It is well equipped with a state-of-the-art PET/CT centre (including PET/CT, a cyclotron and full radio-chemistry facilities), 3 dual headed gamma cameras, and a counting lab and provides a radio-nuclide therapy service. We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious, highly motivated Radiographer/Technologist/Scientist with imaging skills and a desire to work in this cutting edge imaging environment.
For appointment at Band 6 you must hold a relevant degree (Radiography, Clinical Technology, Clinical Physiology, Applied Physics etc.), have practical imaging experience and be eligible for HCPC registration or equivalent.
For appointment at Annex U Band 6 (75% of the top of band), you will be a science graduate. Support to undergo Clinical Technologist training will be provided in the form of in-service training in accordance with the IPEM scheme.
