The role of Healthcare Cleaning Professional is to support the smooth day to day operational running of our Hospital through achieving excellent cleaning standards that will provide a clean and safe healthcare environment that meets our patient's expectations.
Part time Healthcare Cleaning Professional shifts, and hours are available:
3pm - 7pm Monday to Friday - 20hrs per week x 2
4pm - 7pm Monday to Friday - 15hrs per week x 2
4pm - 8pm Monday to Friday - 20hrs per week
5pm - 8pm Monday to Friday - 15hrs per week x 2
There will be a requirement to work Bank Holidays.
Main duties of the job
Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming hospital environment. Duties include:
- Carrying out general baseline cleaning tasks, such as mopping, vacuuming, damp dusting, cleaning toilets and bathrooms, and serving beverages to patients.
- Completing specialised cleaning duties as required, including infection prevention and control cleaning.
- Working flexibly across all areas of the hospital, adapting to changing priorities and workload demands.
- Demonstrating strong customer service skills, being friendly, approachable, reliable, and managing time effectively.
- Showing awareness of Infection Prevention and Control practices within a healthcare setting.
- Displaying the core capabilities and behaviours expected of the role, with a passion for delivering a high‑quality service.
Experience: Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided to ensure you gain the knowledge and skills needed to become a competent Healthcare Cleaning Professional.
Uniform: A full uniform will be provided.
