Tenbury inpatient ward is a 16 bedded unit. We have a fantastic team who are welcoming, supportive and are passionate to provide quality patient-centred care. We are proud of the strong multidisciplinary relationships we hold and approach we take, to complete a holistic assessment and personalised ongoing care planning.

Playing a positive role in a patients journey with a responsive and flexible approach to work. The successful candidate should hold good communication and interpersonal skills. Main duties of the job

As a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant, you will work under the direction of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to support in providing high-quality, person-centred care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting patients with personal care needs while promoting dignity, independence and choice
  • Assisting patients with mobility, rehabilitation activities and daily living skills
  • Undertaking and recording clinical observations such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturations, height and weight
  • Supporting patients with nutrition and hydration.
  • Observing and reporting changes in patients' physical, emotional or mental wellbeing.
  • Contributing to patient documentation and electronic record keeping, ensuring this is accurate and up to date.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and therapeutic ward environment
  • Supporting the delivery of rehabilitation programmes that help patients achieve their goals and maximise independence
  • Providing physical and emotional end-of-life care to both patients and their loved ones.

  • - Tenbury Community Hospital is a rural hospital with limited public transport. Therefore, if you are applying for this position, it is important you have your own method of transport to attend site. - There will be a requirement to work on a 7- day rota to provide day, night, weekend & bank holiday cover.
