An exciting opportunity to join our Team on the Children's Unit as a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant has arisen.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working and friendly new Team member.

Main duties of the job

The post involves assisting the nursing staff in the delivery of care to children and their families in the hospital setting. We would expect you to accurately record, collate, monitor and provide feedback of patient information to nursing staff, initiating actions as necessary. You would be expected to help look after both surgical and medical patients.

The post holder must have excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, work as part of a team, be empathetic and able to develop practical skills. It is essential to have a holistic view to patient care.

The successful applicant must have NVQ III or equivalent, or currently working towards this, previous experience of working in a caring background, is able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, plus the ability to work as part of a team.
