Main duties of the job

Ward 12C is a 22 bedded Elective surgical unit. we are general surgery which comprises breast, bowel, orology, plastics, ENT and Gynae. there are plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and be a part of a dynamic and innovative surgical team

  • Experience of working with people, ideally in a front-line customer service role.

Desirable

  • Experience of providing person centred care.

  • Can demonstrate self-motivation and ability to motivate others

  • Demonstrates some insight into the fundamentals and complexity of care and care delivery

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

  • An understanding of the importance of patient confidentially and privacy.
  • Recognise how patients and colleagues need to be treated with dignity and respect and can demonstrate these behaviours in their daily work.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • The ability to respond with kindness and humanity to patients.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach with the aptitude to work in a busy hospital healthcare setting.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety with an awareness of the importance of following Trust policies and procedures.

Education, Qualification & Training

Essential

  • Level 2 or Level 3 (NVQ) in health and Social Care or equivalent relevant experience
  • Willing to work towards Level 2 functional skills (Math & English
