We are looking for Healthcare Assistants to join our teams at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.  We are recruiting across a variety of wards and specialities across our Surgical division. Other areas may be considered.

Main duties of the job

  • To work as part of the ward/department team delivering excellent patient care.
  • Monitoring patients and performing basic health check
  • Serving meals and helping to feed patients
  • Provide support to patients to maintain their hygiene needs. This may include actions such as: Bathing/washing Care of mouth, hair, nails and eyes

  • Provide support to maintain their elimination needs. This may include actions such as: Encouraging continence Emptying urinary catheter bags Mobilising to toilet or use of commode or bedpan Maintaining hygiene needs after episodes of incontinence
