We are looking for a part time Health Care Assistant in our Out Patients Department working 32.25 hours per week.
The Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) is part of the multidisciplinary team and plays a vital role within the team, providing holistic, patient- centred care which is planned and directed by health care professionals. Under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse (RN), midwife or nurse associate (RNA) the HCSW will undertake a range of core clinical skills and depending on the area worked may include specific clinical skills relevant to the speciality.

Main duties of the job
As a Health Care Support Worker you will need to:
- Undertakes a range of delegated clinical care duties in hospital, community or other settings
- Records patient observations and changes to patient clinical conditions
- Carries out limited clinical care duties
- To follow all Trust policies and provide a safe and person-centred environment for the treatment of patients.
- Be responsible for delivering high standards of care and providing services in accordance with the Trust’s values and behaviours to support the nursing team in the delivery of patient care which is safe and effective.
- Be a fundamental part of the nursing team in providing care to patients/ carers/ relatives at the Trust, including the safe delivery of a range of clinical competency skills.
