We have an exciting new development for Health Care Support Workers to join the team supporting individuals referred to Police Custody Health Care (PCHC).
The role of the Healthcare Support Worker is to support healthcare staff to deliver care in line with the standards and policies of healthcare provision in the NHS/PCHC.
The role involves assisting healthcare professionals to ensure that the physical environment is safe, clean, comfortable and suitable for person referred for care. To contribute to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of person referred by being an active and supporting member of the team.
This is a diverse role which involves the day to day delivery of a high standard of support to the PCHC team to enable health care to be delivered to a population who may have a comprehensive range of physical, psychological, substance misuse and social problems, whilst maintaining a high level of awareness and compliance with security procedures within the PCHC environment
Applicants will have completed SVQIII in healthcare or equivalent experience gained working in a caring environment/role; be competent in the use of computerised information systems including MS Office and have well-developed communication skills both written and oral.As the role is covering a peripatetic and regional service a driving licence is require
