The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker to join our team within ward 24 of Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
The post holder will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience. You should have at least 1 year experience at Band 2 level in an acute hospital setting. Candidates should have experience of recording Patient Observations (NEWS) Venepuncture and Cannulation, ECG recording - or a willingness to learn these skills. You will be able to demonstrate high professional standards of care and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting. You will utilise a broad range of knowledge and skills in the assessment, planning and implementation of care for our patients.
We are passionate about supporting the well-being and development of our team and you will be supported through mentorship and education from our Clinical Nurse Educator.

Training is provided to enable the HCSW to comply with the Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland 2009; and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers, both as amended from time to time.
