A opportunity has arisen here at Millom Community hospital for health care assistants to join our team.

1x Full time post at 37.5 hours per week available.

The Band 3 positions are primarily to cover the ward however some district support may be required from time to time.

All applicants should ideally possess some experience in a health care setting which can include  nursing home experience.

The trust works on an internal rotation basis which involves working various shift times.

Shift times are Early- 07:00-15:00 hrs, Lates 12:00-20:00 also 15:00-20:00 and nights 19:30-07:30 7 days per week also including weekends.

District nursing shift times are 08:30 to 16:30 7 days per week also 7 days per week.

support and training can be provided to build on existing individual skills.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the health care assistant is to take direction from the nurse in charge.

To provide a high standard of care to our in- patients and patients in our community.

To work along side team members supporting each other and showing a flexible approach to good working relationships.

To support in dealing with any emergency situation.
