Healthcare Assistant Band 3 – ENT Outpatients Camden Community.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Healthcare Assistant to join the ENT Outpatients Nursing team at the ENT Outpatients Camden Community, University College London Foundation Trust.   The post holder will join the existing team, providing nursing care for patients attending our outpatients’ clinics.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a person with good communication and organisational skills, willing to develop their knowledge and skills within the ENT speciality and whose attitude to changing environments is positive and supportive.

  • Experience in carrying out assigned duties/assisting qualified staff after training
  • Working in a team
  • Working in a Health Care or related setting

Communication

  • Able to support and reassure patients/carers in distress
  • Understands importance of maintaining confidentiality

Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Able to reports problems as they arise and solve them where possible
  • Demonstrates understanding of importance of maintaining privacy and dignity
  • Able to record routine observations after training
  • Able to use designated medical devices after training
  • Able to carry out clinical procedures as required

Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential

  • Completion of a competency based workbook OR
  • Knowledge, training and experience of working to vocational level 3
