Main duties of the job
- Support people with personal care, mobility, eating and drinking
- Encourage independence while promoting dignity and respect
- Help people take part in social, recreational and therapeutic activities
- Communicate clearly with service users, carers and colleagues
- Keep accurate records and follow care plans and policies
- Experience or a qualification in adult health or social care, or a willingness to learn
- Caring, patient and respectful approach to supporting others
- Confidence working with people who may feel distressed or unwell
- Ability to work well in a team and manage your own tasks
- Basic IT skills and willingness to complete required training
