This is a diverse role which involves the delivery of a high standard of clinical and administrative support to the nursing and medical team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in sexual health, public health and health inequalities.

You will support the delivery of high quality sexual and reproductive health services by working both autonomously and with minimal supervision to deliver clinical care and support public health interventions by means of partner notification and results management and will be the first point of contact for patients wishing to access the Health Advising team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced clinical environment, has excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail. You must be able to demonstrate high quality, person-centred care, excellent teamworking, and have an inclusive, non-judgemental approach. You should have a keen interest in sexual health nursing and will be required to actively participate in personal development planning.

Phlebotomy and vaccination is an essential element of this post but not a pre-requisite as training can be provided.

Applicants are also required to be flexible and able to travel throughout Fife. Clinic sessions will include mornings, afternoons and evenings.

If successful in your application, you will be offered the opportunity to undertake an SVQ2 or SVQ3 in Health and Social Care, approximately 9 months after taking up post. It is expected that you complete this qualification, which will be funded by NHS Fife. Your Line Manager will provide you with more information once you are in post

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.

To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country. This permission is, without exception, granted by the UK Visa and Immigrations Service.

As part of the pre-employment checks for a preferred candidate, NHS Scotland Boards will check your entitlement to work in the UK. It can be evidenced through a number of routes including specific types of visa as well as EU settled and pre-settled status.
