We are looking for an experienced Head of Service to lead and develop our Cardio Respiratory service across NHS Fife. This senior role combines strategic leadership with advanced clinical practice, supporting a wide range of diagnostic services including Echocardiography, pacemaker clinics, exercise testing, ambulatory monitoring and respiratory testing.About the RoleYou will:• Lead day to day service operations across two acute hospital sites.• Manage and support a multidisciplinary team, including recruitment, training and appraisal.• Oversee service development, quality assurance, budgets, and procurement of specialist equipment.• Perform and report advanced cardiac investigations, including complex echocardiography, regional echo services, and pacemaker follow-up.• Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and policy development.About YouWe’re looking for someone who is:• RCCP registered with BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent experience.• Highly experienced (substantial experience at Advanced CCP level) in Echocardiography, pacemaker work, exercise testing, and rhythm analysis.• Skilled in leadership, staff development, and service improvement.• A strong communicator with excellent clinical judgement and autonomy.• Committed to high standards of care and ongoing professional development.Why Join Us?• Lead a busy, respected diagnostic service with real scope for development.• Work with a supportive multidisciplinary team.• Opportunities for innovation, teaching, and involvement in clinical trials.
