Location: 2 x Adult Services, 2 x Older People and Primary Care Services & 1 x Care Services

Contract Status: Permanent

Salary: GCG Grade 10 LDR2b, £86,532.09 - £100,402.93, Hours per week: 35

NHS Salary: Band 8C, £90,808 - £97,338, Hours per week: 36

An exciting opportunity has arisen for five Head of Service posts within Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP). Reporting to the relevant Assistant Chief Officer, these senior leadership roles provide strategic direction, operational oversight and performance management across a range of integrated health and social care services.

As members of the Senior Management Team, post holders will work collaboratively across Glasgow City Council and NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde to lead service transformation, deliver strategic priorities and improve outcomes for people who access our services. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, partnership working and a commitment to integrated service delivery.

Applicants must be educated to degree level in a relevant Health or Social Care discipline. Please refer to the attached Role Profile and Person Specification for full details.

The posts that are available are:

Adult Services

Head of Adult Services - North East Locality

Provides strategic and operational leadership across integrated adult mental health and learning disability services within the North East locality. The postholder will oversee inpatient and community-based services, leading large multidisciplinary teams and working closely with partners across health, social care and the third sector to drive service improvement and integration.

Head of Service - Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services (ADRS) and Specialist Mental Health Services

Leads a diverse portfolio of city-wide alcohol and drug recovery and specialist mental health services. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality services, leading transformational change, responding to national policy requirements and driving continuous improvement across complex service areas.

Older People and Primary Care Services

Head of Service - South Locality

Leads integrated health, social work and social care services for older people and adults with physical disabilities across the South locality. The postholder will contribute to the wider Older People and Primary Care Services agenda while providing strategic leadership across a range of specialist city-wide and board-wide services.

Head of Service - North West Locality

Leads integrated community health, social work and social care services for older people and adults with physical disabilities across the North West locality. The role includes responsibility for key strategic service areas and partnership working to support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.

Care Services

Head of Service - Care and Technical Services

Provides leadership for directly delivered home care and technical services across Glasgow, including Home Care, Community Alarms, EquipU and TaSS. The post holder will be responsible for service quality, performance, workforce planning, financial governance and the delivery of person-centred services that support people to live independently at home.

Please note: Specific lead responsibilities associated with each post may be reviewed and amended over time to reflect changing service priorities and organisational requirements.

This is an integrated position as part of the Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership. The successful applicant may choose to be appointed to the post under the terms and conditions of either Glasgow City Council or NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.

These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
