Main duties of the job

As the Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, your role involves ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment for residents and staff. This includes performing various tasks within the care home, gardens, and grounds. You should be capable of working alone, leading a team, and assisting the General Manager with budget planning. Interaction with contractors for work beyond your team's expertise is also part of the job. A full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English are required qualifications, along with hands-on property maintenance experience and at least one trade skill.
