Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced leader to join our Women's & Children's Division as a Group Manager on the Obstetric, Gynaecology and HIV Team.

Main duties of the job

Responsible to operationally deliver qualitative, high performing services across the Group to deliver services which are outstanding.

To coordinate and prioritise the effective and efficient delivery of clinical services across the Group and the management of operational business on a day-to-day basis, meeting all necessary standards of safety, quality, and patient access within agreed resources. To ensure there is a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in patient pathways and services.

This role requires an ambitious individual to lead and support the running of the Group.  Working in conjunction with the Clinical Lead and Clinical Matron, the postholder is an integral part of the team who will resolve daily operational challenges faced at the front door of our hospital.  The Trust has an ambitious improvement plan with a range of projects established to support patient care and the delivery of national operational standards, which the Group Manager will support.

The Group Manager is responsible for the effective strategic and operational management of a defined set of areas, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient services within the resources available. The post-holder is responsible for the management of all non-clinical staff in these areas; ensuring staff are managed in line with the Trust’s employment policies.
