We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Generic Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our Integrated Community Stroke Service. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with therapists and nursing staff to support patients recovering from stroke.
You will play a key part in delivering personalised rehabilitation programmes, supporting interventions across physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, nursing care, and aspects of clinical psychology. This is a highly fulfilling role where you can make a real difference, helping patients regain independence and confidence in their own homes.
Established in 2009 and expanded in April 2023 into the Integrated Community Stroke Service, our service provides specialist, community-based rehabilitation across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood. We support patients following an acute stroke, ensuring they receive high-quality care within their local community.
We are a passionate, supportive team committed to delivering patient-centred care and high clinical standards. Our focus is on enabling a smooth transition from hospital to home, optimising recovery, and improving quality of life.

Experience
Essential
- Experience working with older or disabled people in a care or rehabilitation setting in health or social care
- Working as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- NHS Experience
Desirable
- Knowledge and skills in Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Speech and Language Therapy in working with rehabilitation of adults
- Experience of working with stroke patients
Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification in health related subject
