Job summary

We are looking for a patient centered GP to become part of our exceptional multi-disciplinary team, working in a supportive environment across two sites in Caldicot and the nearby village of Magor.

Situated in beautiful South Monmouthshire, Caldicot is easily commutable from Bristol, Cardiff and surrounding areas with good access to the M4.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, well organised, high achieving training practice where you will be supported by an extended team of a pharmacist, advanced nurse practitioner, minor illness nurses, practice nurses and an administration team. Flexible working patterns available, both full and part-time, will be considered.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working in primary care.

The practice is friendly, well organised, high achieving training practice where the GPs are supported by an extended team of a pharmacist, advanced nurse practitioner, minor illness nurses, practice nurses and an administration team. Our aim is to provide continuity of care with personalised lists currently being rolled out.

Job responsibilities

A large innovative training practice serving a population of just over 20,000 patients. We work with a total triage system and are continually reviewing and developing our ways of working to best suit our population and staff.

We encourage development of our salaried GPs in any chosen area of interest.

Due to a vacancy and recent retirements we are looking for a motivated salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive team.

We are offering a competitive salary including NHS pension scheme, 6 weeks annual leave, full indemnity cover, plus pro-rata CPD time, in line with BMA recommendations.
