Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Practitioner (GP) to join our established and highly successful Research Team. The post holder will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical research across Cornwall, supporting the identification, screening and recruitment of participants into research studies and ensuring the safe delivery of study-related procedures.
As a Principal Investigator, you will provide clinical oversight for research participants, ensuring studies are conducted in line with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory requirements and Trust policies. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will help embed research into routine clinical practice, promote research opportunities, and contribute to improving patient outcomes and advancing innovative healthcare across Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
