Main duties of the job
- Diagnosing and treating common illnesses such as infections, minor injuries, skin conditions, and chronic diseases.
- Managing long-term conditions like Diabetes, Asthma, and high blood pressure.
- Performing health checks and preventive care, including vaccinations, screening, and lifestyle advice.
- Prescribing medications and reviewing patients' medicines to ensure they are safe and effective.
- Referring patients to specialists or hospitals when more advanced care is needed.
- Providing mental health support by assessing conditions such as anxiety and depression and arranging appropriate treatment or referrals.
- Carrying out minor procedures, such as wound care, joint injections, or removing small skin lesions (depending on the practice).
- Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Coordinating patient care with nurses, pharmacists, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals.
- Offering health education on topics such as diet, exercise, smoking cessation, and disease prevention.
- Reviewing and acting on patient blood test results.
- Working with other partners to make sound business decisions in the short and long term for the practice.

We are a well-established practice serving a list size of approximately (4600) patients in an urban location just outside Wrexham City Centre. Caia Park is a vibrant and diverse community on the edge of Wrexham city centre. The area is currently benefiting from significant investment and offers a unique opportunity for a GP to make a lasting impact on population health. The community enjoys extensive green spaces, good-quality housing and a strong network of local organisations, including the well-established Caia Park Community Hub, with which the practice is co-located.

Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
