
Job overview
We are currently looking to hire a Band 2 Porter to work full-time 37.5 hours per week over a 24-hours 7-days week within the Portering Service at Salford Royal Hospital. You will also be required to be flexible in your working pattern as you may be required to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays, evenings, weekends and nights.
Main duties of the job
At times you may be required to carry out other portering duties, which may include assisting with the transfer of patients around the site by wheelchair, trolley or bed, including deceased patients and all associated pharmacy and mortuary duties. Not excluding, being possibly placed on waste duties with the waste team. Please see job description for full details.
You may also be required to transfer medical notes and medical supplies around the hospital site to various wards and departments.
