ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member will be to support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals. Other responsibilities will include: Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining. Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures.

Main duties of the job

As a Food and Beverage Team Member at Avery Healthcare, you will play a key role in supporting the dining service and assisting residents with their meals at Alice Court Care Home in Eastbourne. The job involves helping residents choose their meal options, setting dining tables according to standard procedures, and maintaining cleanliness and presentation throughout the dining areas. In addition, you'll ensure that homemade cakes, biscuits, and fresh fruit options are readily available in the bistro areas. The role requires awareness of residents dietary needs and a commitment to delivering culinary services with compassion. Ideal candidates should demonstrate high standards of hygiene, possess a Food Hygiene Certificate, and have experience in similar settings, such as restaurants or hotels. ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member will be to support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining.
• Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
• Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas are replenished throughout the day as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of residents dietary requirements.

Our ideal candidate must:

• Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of culinary services to residents.
• Have experience of working in a similar setting, restaurant or hotel would be desirable.
• A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.
