Job overview
This is the amalgamation of the key tasks of the current Credit Controller and the Account Billing Finance Officer. The Finance Officer with the flexibility to work across both credit control and billing, is essential to maintaining stability within I&PC Finance Operations. Having a cross functional officer ensures that key financial processes, including debt management, invoice accuracy, and timely billing, provides operational stability. This dual skilled role will provide critical continuity, support with reducing backlogs, and strengthen compliance with financial controls, ultimately protecting cash flow and supporting the wider Finance Operations team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient billing and credit control services for International & Private Care (I&PC). This includes:
- Routine inpatient and outpatient billing
- Accurate recording and allocation of charges
- Pursuit and collection of outstanding debts
- Ensuring low levels of aged debt
- Maintaining accurate financial and patient account records
The role supports continuous process improvement and contributes to a seamless end-toend billing and collection cycle for international patients, families, embassies, insurers and other stakeholders.
