Job summary

The Female Relief Night Care and Support Worker will play a key role within Jewish Cares Retirement Living Service at Selig Court, providing flexible overnight care and support to tenants living in their own flats. Working on a relief basis, with 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am, the postholder will help tenants remain independent, safe, connected, and in control of their lives. The role involves supporting personal care and daily living, promoting dignity and choice, building trusted relationships, supporting wellbeing and community engagement, and working with health and social care professionals to provide joined-up support. The postholder will also maintain accurate records and care planning information. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced care professional who is compassionate, reliable and passionate about supporting older people to live independently

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a caring, compassionate and reliable Female Relief Night Care and Support Worker to join our Retirement Living Service at Selig Court. Working flexible night shifts from 7pm to 7am, you will support tenants in their own homes, helping them remain independent, safe and connected to their community. You will provide personal care and practical support, build meaningful relationships, respond to individual needs and promote dignity, choice and wellbeing. Ideally able to cover at least two shifts each week, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Support Worker who enjoys building relationships and wants to make a genuine difference to the lives of older people. Full training and ongoing development will be provided.

About the role

This isnt a typical care role.

As a Care & Support Worker, youll support tenants living in their own flatshelping them stay independent, connected, and in control of their lives. From practical support to companionship, youll build meaningful relationships and play a key role in creating a strong community.

There is a genuine occupational requirement, in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act 1974, for the postholder to be female.

We are seeking experienced Support Workers who can provide bank/ relief nights and can work all the following shifts throughout the week

12 hrs shifts, 7 pm-7 am, ideally the candidates would be able to cover at least two shifts a week..
