
We are hoping to recruit two members of staff to join our Facilities Team at Weymouth Hospital and its associated sites such as Littlemoor Health Centre and Portland Hospital.
This multiskilled role is working in a friendly hospital environment, helping with cleaning and catering and porter duties.
This is a Part time role of 20 hours per week, the hours of work will be flexible to cover service demands and staff leave - the hours of work will be 7am to 8pm each day depending on shift to a maximum of 20 hours per week. It may be that some shifts are short, such as 4pm-8pm, or other shifts longer such as 7am-2pm, depending on what is needed per week.
The total contracted hours will be 20 per week, with opportunities to do more as shifts arise, to cover annual leave and sickness absence.
Any additional hours where they are worked at weekend attracts additional enhanced levels of pay and you will receive a generous annual leave allowance.

Porter duties - Receiving deliveries and supporting in unloading deliveries such as stores, linen and catering deliveries.
Cleaning – duties across the site, working to NHS cleaning standards, as the cleaning rota requires. – weekly duties supporting the cleaning of clinical areas, cleaning toilets, emptying bins amongst many duties of a cleaning service throughout the site.
Catering – all onsite training will be provided, experience preferred but not essential. Supporting our catering service within the main hospital kitchen, basic catering duties such as making fresh sandwiches and salads.
A full UK driving license is desired for this role as you may be required to use the hospital vehicle to deliver meals to a nearby site.
For all duties, full training, support and uniform will be provided, shadowing current experienced staff to enable the successful candidate to become confident in their role.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
