Paediatric services is growing rapidly, there has never been a better time to join our team. Do you have experience working in an acute medical or paediatric high dependency unit? Do you have experience caring for patients with tracheostomies, BiPAP, LTV or other complex medical conditions if so this job is for you.

Main duties of the job

We provide a holistic suite of services for babies, children and young people to enable them to receive the highest quality of care at the right time, delivered by the right staff and in the location where best suits their needs, in partnership with parents, carers and other multi-disciplinary team members.

We are looking for exceptional, committed, caring and compassionate Staff Nurses with post-registration experience to join our dedicated multi-disciplinary team.  Successful candidates will join our friendly, supportive teams led by Supervisory Senior Sisters / Service Managers / Team Leaders and be part of a nursing skill mix reflective of the acuity of the patient group.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder is expected to provide relevant forms of care without direct supervision and participate in the supervision and teaching of untrained staff.

To play an active part in the continuing development of the ward or department and actively contribute to the maintenance of an environment conducive to the delivery of high standards of patient care by promoting good communication and relationships between staff, patients, relatives and visitors.
