Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Estates & Facilities Multi Skilled Operative to join our Estates & Facilities team.
About the Role
This is a varied and hands-on role supporting the effective day-to-day running of Estates & Facilities services across Royal Papworth Hospital and Trust accommodation sites.
The successful candidate will work across a wide range of Estates and Facilities activities including monitoring hospital assets, supporting hard and soft FM services, assisting with patient catering and linen services, carrying out routine audits and inspections, and helping maintain a safe and compliant healthcare environment.
The role also includes monitoring supporting outsourced services under the Trust's PFI contract and liaising with contractors, clinical teams and service users to ensure high standards are maintained across the estate.
Main duties of the job
Main duties will include:
* Monitoring and reporting Estates and Facilities issues across Trust sites
* Supporting hard and soft FM contract monitoring activities
* Flushing tap and shower outlets and replacing tap filters
* Assisting with office furniture and equipment moves
* Supporting patient catering and linen distribution services as required
* Carrying out environmental and health & safety inspections
* Recording faults and escalating issues appropriately
* Assisting with audits and compliance checks
* Providing guidance and support relating to FM processes and procedures
You will be supported by experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and will receive training appropriate to the role.
About You
We are looking for someone who:

* Has a flexible and proactive approach to work
* Is able to work across multiple sites when required
* Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
* Understands the importance of health, safety and compliance within healthcare environments
* Hold a full clean driving licence, including the entitlement to drive a van, for travel between Trust sites.
