Main duties of the job
Working within a team of administrative staff to support the provision of an efficient service and provide support for the wider Estates and Facilities Team.
This varied role gives the post holder the opportunity to interact with several key supporting functions within estates and facilities.
The postholder will provide comprehensive administrative support, organising and implementing day to day administrative tasks ensuring work is prioritised and completed in a appropriate and timely manner
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Estates Department on each site. To organise and effectively implement and monitor day to day administrative tasks. To ensure on going work is prioritised, processed and dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Provide full secretarial support as required including minute taking, filing, photocopying, message taking, and process ordering documentation.
- Provide an effective typing service – general correspondence, agendas, minutes, reports, emails etc.
- Estates Administration provides all clerical and secretarial support to Estates Staff.

SKILLS
Essential
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and met deadlines
- Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Desirable
- Ability to manage time effectively and work on own initiative
KNOWLEDGE
Essential
- Good level of general clerical experience
- Intermidiate knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desirable
- Experience of NHS computerised systems
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- NVQ 3 / RSA 3 or equivalent or equivalent level experience
Desirable
- English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent (GCSE 9-4 or A*-C or Functional/Key Skills Level 2)
