At the Royal Orthopaedic NHS Foundation Trust, we are responding to the increasing complexity of the health and care system and the urgent need to strengthen our digital infrastructure. As part of this, we are implementing a unified Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, transforming the way we deliver care across the Trust.
We are seeking experienced and dynamic Business Analysts to support core workstreams within this transformational programme. You will play a pivotal role in the development of clinical pathways and service redesign in line with our programme plan, ensuring that our digital systems deliver tangible benefits for patients and staff alike.
In this role, you will undertake critical analysis to understand current working models and develop a thorough working knowledge of the new EPR to allow you to create new business processes as we move away from outdated, paper-based clinical and non-clinical processes, embedding innovation and efficiency across the Trust.
We are looking for a proactive, organised, and collaborative professional with experience in working with clinical and operational staff within a healthcare environment. This is a unique opportunity to work on a digital transformation that will have a lasting impact on patient care and service delivery at the Royal Orthopaedic NHS Foundation Trust.
As part of the EPR Team you will work in collaboration with the other EPR workstreams, the Digital Data and Technology department and other Trust teams to support and deliver the EPR system through this large programme of work.
The role will involve working with the Trusts’ clinical and operational services to identify their current and future clinical system usage and define mappings to ensure successful transition to the new EPR solution
The successful candidate will work with service representatives and project managers to create end to end process maps (where there are gaps in current documentation) for each activity in order to baseline the ‘as is’ position and to establish the desired ‘to be’ position. This information will then be used to undertake gap analysis to identify where changes are required to existing policies and procedures. The role will also involve working with system configuration specialists to ensure the new EPR system is built to meet the service requirements and fully realise the identified benefits.
