As an Engagement and Partnerships Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining relationships between the Trust and the communities we serve. Your primary responsibility will be to implement community engagement strategies that align with the Trust’s vision and values.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and device methods to ensure that the voices of patients, carers and local communities are heard and can influence the Trust’s decision making, particularly around service development and transformation.
You will work closely with the Head of Public and Community Engagement to plan and deliver a range of engagement activities, including public meetings and community events. You will help build trust and confidence in the Trust and the NHS, ensuring that the community feels valued and involved in shaping their local healthcare services.

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Essential
- Experience in community engagement or partnership working
- Experience of delivering public engagement activities
- Experience of event coordination; stakeholder mapping; basic data analysis

- Experience of working in the NHS
- Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in public services
Qualifications

- NVQ 3 level qualification / equivalent demonstrable work experience in relevant field or professional certificate qualification in related field
- Evidence of continuing professional and personal development in related field
