An opportunity has arisen for a full time Ward Clerk in Endoscopy Eastbourne.
You will be part of a team of Ward Clerks responsible for welcoming outpatients to the department, recording and updating all attendance information and making follow ups where appropriate, in line with the Referral to Treatment: Access and Management Policy and Organisation Objectives.
You will need to deal with challenges, perform under pressure and be able to prioritise work. The ideal candidate will be computer literate & flexible and good customer service skills are essential.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a comprehensive multi-faceted, wide range of administrative and clerical duties to the ward to support the Nursing and Medical staff in the smooth day to day running of the ward area.
They will be responsible for the safe keeping and availability of all clinical records relating to patients and the smooth running of the ward / department office. They will also provide general assistance in the management and adherence of Trust Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) relating to the ward area.
