AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot can be great for planning and preparing your application—but your answers must be your own.
- Show us the real you: Your application should reflect your skills, experience, and motivations authentically.
- Use AI wisely: It’s fine to use AI for ideas or to check spelling and grammar, but don’t let it write your answers.
- Why this matters: Applications that rely on AI-generated content may be withdrawn. By applying, you confirm your responses are based on your own knowledge and achievements.
Tip: Think of AI as a helper, not a substitute. We want to understand you—not an AI tool.

Why Arran?
Often described as "Scotland in Miniature", the Isle of Arran offers an outstanding quality of life, combining stunning scenery, outdoor pursuits and a strong sense of community. Situated in the Firth of Clyde, Arran has a resident population of approximately 5,000, which increases significantly to 25,000 throughout the year due to its popularity as a holiday destination. This seasonal fluctuation provides a diverse and varied clinical caseload, creating a unique and rewarding healthcare environment. The island is served by a regular year-round ferry service to the mainland, offering the perfect balance of island living and connectivity to the wider NHS Ayrshire & Arran network.
