We are currently looking to recruit to our Combined Child Heath Physiotherapy team. This post will be based at the North Child Development Team at Bucksburn Academy in Aberdeen.
The successful candidate will assist the physiotherapists by undertaking specific skilled support work to aid the rehabilitation of paediatric patients including implementing patient treatment programmes according to treatment protocols prescribed by the physiotherapist and monitoring patient progression.
There will also be a range of non-clinical duties including monitoring, replenishment and ordering of stock/medical supplies and other clerical responsibilities such as booking appointments, sending out routine letters and data entry. Word processing skills and adaptability in learning new software are therefore an advantage.
Support will be offered through training and through direct supervision by physiotherapists while working within a multi-disciplinary team.
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual who ideally will have had previous experience of working with children in a care, education or health setting.
Knowledge of GIRFEC is important as well as the desire to be part of a team who have children’s wellbeing at the centre of everything we do and aspire to.
