The role will support the Operations Manager in the day to day operational management of Urgent and Emergency Care at the William Harvey Hospital. To be responsible for the organisation and maintenance of clinical staff rotas within Acute Medicine and Emergency Medicine .

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the organisation and maintenance of clinical staff rotas (paper based and electronic) for Acute Medicine / Emergency Department staffing to ensure a safe and effective service that is also cost effective. To support the administration and monitoring process for the Acute Medicine / Emergency Department medical staffing annual leave/study leave for junior medical staff in accordance with the Trust Leave Policy. To monitor the medical staff for the Acute Medicine / Emergency Department teams mandatory training including implementing and maintaining a reminder system to allow teams to be made aware in sufficient time of any upcoming training requirements. To collate, record and process locum claim forms in accordance with Standing Financial Instructions for the trust. Highlighting any current and future risks in rostering of clinical staff ensuring skill mix and all unfilled shifts are filled or mitigated. To organise and participate in medical staffing induction programmes for Acute Medicine / Emergency Department To provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the Operational Manager for Acute and Medical Staffing to ensure that all areas are safely staffed to ensure staff and patient safety at all times.
