Job summary

We have a position available for a qualified and experienced dispenser to join our busy Dispensary Team at Market Cross Surgery; an expanding rural practice situated in the village of Corby Glen.

Main duties of the job

The requirements for this vacancy are:

• Formal dispensing qualification essential (Level 2 Equivalent)
• Previous General Practice experience essential; duties to include:
• To undertake any necessary work as may be required and appropriate to maintain a high standard and efficient dispensing service
• Computer literate - knowledge of SystmOne

About us

Job responsibilities

To carry out all procedures relevant to the post of Dispenser - to ensure patient requests for acute and repeat prescriptions are processed within the set timescales. To ensure stock levels are maintained at the agreed levels.

A brief overview would be process relevant prescriptions, ensure all medicines and appliances are dispensed are checked, collect all due prescription charges and ensure patient declaration is signed, operate efficient stock control, ensure all controlled drugs are documented, take prompt action of any drug alert bulletins, ensure fridge items are stored appropriately, work within the guidelines of all SOPs and carry out any other tasks as may be required.
