Band 9, Full time, Permanent We are seeking an exceptional and inspiring leader to join our senior team as Director of Midwifery, Neonatal and Gynaecology (Band 9). Reporting to the Chief Nurse, you will lead the strategic development and delivery of safe, high-quality maternity services across the Trust.

You will provide professional midwifery leadership, inspiring and empowering staff while acting as the Trust’s expert advisor on midwifery matters. You will foster a positive, inclusive culture and ensure staff are supported to achieve their full potential.

The role includes leading a robust workforce strategy to ensure safe staffing, including recruitment, e-rostering, acuity tools, establishment reviews, preceptorship, induction and development of new roles.

You will drive improvements in patient safety, quality and experience, ensuring compliance with national standards, and lead on governance, risk and performance management.

We are looking for a Registered Midwife with extensive senior leadership experience, strong strategic skills and a proven track record in service transformation, workforce planning and delivering high-quality care.

This is a key leadership role offering the opportunity to shape maternity services and make a real difference to women and families.
