We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to supporting local communities and reducing digital exclusion. This is an excellent opportunity to join our award-winning Digital Skills and Change Team and help people build confidence with everyday digital skills. As a Digital Community and People Outreach Advisor, you will help individuals understand the basics of staying safe online and support them to use digital platforms such as the NHS App. Your work will directly support improved access to healthcare services by helping people take their first steps towards digital independence. This is a hybrid role, combining remote/home working with travel across our Trust footprint. You’ll spend time in community venues, offering practical support to people who may feel unsure about using technology or who have had limited access to digital services. Your patience, kindness and clear communication will make a meaningful difference. We welcome applications from individuals who: • enjoy working directly with members of the public • are patient, approachable and able to explain things simply • can adapt their approach to meet different needs and levels of confidence • feel confident building relationships with local partners and community groups • want to make a positive impact in local communities
The role focuses on engaging people who may experience digital poverty, limited digital confidence or barriers to accessing online services. Main duties include: • Delivering simple, accessible digital skills support in community settings • Helping people use digital devices and online services safely • Supporting people to access NHS digital platforms, including the NHS App • Building relationships with local groups and partners • Planning and delivery of informal digital skills sessions tailored to local needs • Recording activity and sharing insights to help improve our work • Support people experiencing digital poverty by promoting available device access schemes • Travelling across the Trust footprint to reach the people who need it most • Represent the Trust’s digital inclusion priorities through consistent, accessible and positive communication
