Neurodevelopmental Practitioner

Job overview

Are you passionate and dedicated about supporting children’s neurodevelopment and making a real difference in young lives?

We are seeking 3 dedicated Children and Young People’s Neurodevelopmental Practitioners to join our multidisciplinary team within the NHS. This new exciting role working within our established autism service and our new developing neurodevelopmental pathway and service.  This offers the opportunity to work with children, young people and families to assess, support, and guide development in a range of neurodevelopmental conditions including autism spectrum disorders and ADHD.

We are looking for anyone with relevant professional registration in either: Nursing, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Psychology

You will have experience working with children with neurodevelopmental conditions. Possess strong communication skills with children, families, and professionals

You will work independently within a established multi-disciplinary team working alongside a Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologists, Nurses and AHP professionals. You will have access to ongoing professional development and training opportunities.  Supporting our staff is very important to use and we offer staff supervision both clinically and managerial on a regular basis, promoting staff wellbeing

Main duties of the job

  • Conduct neurodevelopmental assessments and observations in clinical settings or community environments
  • Collaborate with paediatricians, psychologists, therapists, and educators to create holistic care plans
  • Support families by providing information, advice, and interventions tailored to individual needs
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary autism assessments
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices and contribute to training and professional development
