JOB SUMMARY

The post holder will be a member of the Digital Clinical and Social Care Safety Team (DST) The post holder will contribute to the review and improvement of digital safety processes, policies and governance frameworks, and support the DST to provide and seek assurances to promote safe and effective care within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust (SHSCT)

The post holder will maintain and contribute to Clinical Risk Management activities including safety case reports, the management of incidents and risks, and the maintenance of governance records using the Datix system and tools such as excel.

The post holder will be responsible for the preparation of digital safety reports and the creation and use of dashboards to support the identification of trends and to provide assurances.

The post holder will be responsible for creating and ensuring comprehensive and effective administrative procedures are in place for the consistent provision of quality and timely information.

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Delivery

The post holder will

Lead and contribute to daily activities which promote and embed digital safety within the SHSCT and support the delivery of safe and effective care

Develop and maintain Clinical Safety Deliverables including Clinical Safety Case Report, Digital Safety Risk Register, and a Clinical Risk Management Plan, ensuring compliance with regional and national standards

Lead on the record keeping of incidents and risks through robust governance processes and the use of the Datix system

Analyse and interpret digital safety incident and risk data, producing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports using Datix and tools such as Excel to inform decision-making

Support the creation of training materials for a multidisciplinary digital clinical and social care safety education programme

Lead on the creation and dissemination of a Digital Safety Bulletin to enhance shared learning

Coordinate digital safety governance processes including arranging digital safety meetings and managing invites, minutes, agendas, and action plans

Support the safe implementation, stabilisation, and optimisation of digital clinical and social care systems (including Encompass and benefit initiatives), ensuring digital safety considerations are embedded throughout

Information Management

Interpret complex datasets to identify safety risks and provide recommendations to the DST, supporting shared learning opportunities

Lead on the production of digital safety dashboards and generate directorate reports to enhance assurances and decision making

Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and digital safety standards, identifying areas of risk and improvement

Key Working Relationships

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to embed digital safety practices within the SHSCT
