The Role
Our innovative, forward thinking paediatric dietetic team is looking for someone to join them in this permanent mentored position.
This is an opportunity to be part of an established pan-Lanarkshire paediatric dietetic team based at University Hospital Wishaw. In this key role, you will:

The post holder decides when it is necessary to refer to his/her manager.
- To receive complex and sensitive information and present this in an understandable form to patients and carers which can include giving unwelcome and difficult to accept information.
- Advise and recommend the use of prescribable preparations and nutritional products for the treatment of patients as appropriate. Ensure supplies of products reach his/her patients through instruction to diet chefs verbally and through maintenance of the diet therapy ordering system. Also, be responsible for reporting any stock discrepancies to the dietetic services manager e.g. out of date stock, reduction in stock items or lack of stock items.
- Keep accurate and concise records of clinical interventions, advice given and outcome decisions taken as per professional code of conduct and departmental guidelines.

AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot can be great for planning and preparing your application, but your answers must be your own.
- Show us the real you: Your application should reflect your skills, experience, and motivations authentically.
- Use AI wisely: It’s fine to use AI for ideas or to check spelling and grammar, but don’t let it write your answers.
- Why this matters: Applications that rely on AI-generated content may be withdrawn. By applying, you confirm your responses are based on your own knowledge and achievements.
Tip: Think of AI as a helper, not a substitute. We want to understand you, not an AI tool.
