An exciting opportunity has arisen within Alliance Care Division for a Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse within the Outpatient Department at ULHT.
This post will predominately working to providing high quality care and leading by example, there will be an opportunity to develop and deputise for the department Sister.
Teamwork, flexibility, and enthusiasm for delivering the best for our patients are a must.
This is an opportunity for a Registered Nurse with either band 5 or 6 experience of leading a team or experience of working at this level to be part of the clinic team and develop their skills. The post holder would be expected to be able to work over 7 days as required and work Trustwide. You will be supported and work along side the Department Sister and this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills whilst working within a dynamic team.
As the Outpatient Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse you will work closely with the Department Sister to provide assurance that your teams are delivering safe, high quality, patient centred care, in accordance with the Trust’s Vision, values and behaviours. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, and will lead and support your teams to deliver the changes required to constantly improve our services. You will work with colleagues Trustwide to support the delivery of the Surgical division Integrated Improvement Plan.
You will be expected to work flexibly, including cross cover at other sites as required. You will also be expected to support an integrated approach to the delivery of speciality services Trustwide.
Your duties will include demonstrating the delivery of key quality and safety performance indicators, including staff experience and staff management/training, and patient experience.
The Outpatient Deputy Sister will also be expected to attend some essential meetings relating to the speciality including governance and performance meetings.
You will ensure that all staff are receiving the correct level of training to promote the safety of our patients being seen within our departments.
