Job overview

A8 is a 34‑bedded acute medical and renal ward caring for patients with a wide range of complex renal conditions. The ward provides acute haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and supports patients undergoing renal biopsies, offering a dynamic and highly specialised clinical environment.

As a fast‑paced and often challenging area, A8 offers exceptional opportunities to develop advanced clinical skills while caring for acutely unwell patients. Our team is hardworking, supportive, and committed to delivering outstanding patient care. We pride ourselves on our positive culture and our willingness to go the extra mile for every patient.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced renal nurse who is passionate about leadership and committed to delivering safe, high‑quality care. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise in renal medicine, alongside the confidence to lead, support, and inspire the nursing team. You will play a key role in ensuring that care is delivered efficiently and effectively, maintaining excellent clinical standards while fostering a positive, patient‑centred environment. This is an opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about developing others, driving high performance, and contributing to continuous improvement within a busy and dynamic renal ward.

The role includes a combination of day shifts, night shifts, and weekend working to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our patients and service.
