An exciting oppoturnity has arisen for a highly motivated sonographer to undertake a band 8a role which will allow the right candidate to expand their knowledge and skills in day to day management of an ultrasound department, and enable them to make a real difference and improvements for all staff. Includes 15% Retention and recruitment allowance.
Main duties of the job
To manage one of the Imaging Modality services of the Community Diagnostic Centre and Ealing Hospital Ultrasound Departments on a day-to day basis, to undertake Imaging and be responsible for the training of other radiographers and where necessary students. Line Management responsibilities and to assist in the day-to-day running of the Radiology Department. It is a job requirement to coordinate and where reasonable, meet waiting targets relevant to the area. To on lead on issues relating to clinical governance and equipment maintenance for the modality. Undertake clinical work and maintaining high standard of work of own and other members of staff. Deputise and provide support for the Clinical Lead Sonographer. Maintain and supervise waiting list targets for the modality.
