To work with the Director of Informatics, Trust Boards, Executive Directors, Senior Clinicians, general managers, HIS staff and other key stakeholders within the MMDA Partner organisation’s and the wider community to develop and support the implementation of the:-

• National Informatics strategy
• Local Informatics strategies
• Management of the non-transactional side of MMDA
• Partner SLA negotiation / management
• Governance – implementation and adoption of policies and procedures based on best practice e.g. ITIL, ISO27001, Prince2, MSP, etc.

• Major incidents reporting / investigation

• Project Delivery

Main duties of the job

The post holder has specific responsibility for the identification and implementation of Innovative IM&T services and technologies that maximise benefits to the partners and customers of MWL Digital Services, whilst ensuring the successful delivery of technology for, and integration with, the local health community.

The Shared Informatics Service provides core informatics services to multiple NHS partners within the region. This role is a key senior management and leadership role within the service managing delegated teams, managing the non-transactional side of the shared service on behalf of the Director of Informatics, and deputising for the Director as required. This role is responsible for strategy development and the development and adoption of the Informatics Service Governance framework.
