Job overview

To support the work of the dental team by providing dental nursing skills.

Clinical administration including General Dental Service paperwork and cash handling at the base clinic and other locations as required.

To facilitate a high standard of patient care to all users of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be administratively responsible to the Senior Dental Nurse and ultimately accountable to the Clinical Director for North Wales Community Dental Service. The Dental Nurse will be clinically responsible to the Clinician to whom he/she is assigned.

The post holder will be required to travel within the North Wales Community Dental Service locality, for example clinics, hospitals, schools, domiciliary visits, mobile dental units and to carry out treatment at other sites, for example, nursing homes. Travel expenses will be paid.

Clinical administration to the base clinic and other locations as required.
